I possess the Microsoft Office 2000 Professional which had been installed on my old laptop computer with Windows 2000 Professional. Just recently I was getting the message that I need to register the product and I have Installation ID, however the Confirmation number is required. I am not able to view any documents by Microsoft Office 2000 Professional. How do I register that product and where I can receive th Confirmatiion number. I will be happy to get any help possible.

Its not any registration number that is required but the Office 2000 key, whch should be on a sticker fixed to the office cd case.

Not haveing the key, and office activated, should not prevent you viewing pre saved docs, it would only prevent creating new docs or editing old docs

What is the *exact* err msg you see

Ofcourse, I do have Office 2000 Product Key however, I must register the product, in order to do so I must obtain the confirmation number which I do not have. How in the world I can obtain this confirmation key to register my product. On the screen I have the message " You must register now or this application will no longer run"
