Any shortcut for increasing / decreasing the decimal places?

    Thanx

    Hi,

By definition a shortcut makes operations quicker so this one has to be dubious but yes there is a shortcut.

Tap then release each key in turn

    ALT - H - 9

    or to increase

    ALT - H - 0

that's a zero at the end.

Although the alt+h+9 command works, here is what I found works the best:

    1. Highlight whichever cells you need to adjust the decimals for.
    2. Press ctrl+1 to open up the "Format Cell" dialogue box.

    3) Press tab, and navigate down to 'number'. Press tab again, and you can enter the number of decimals desired.

This should be more efficient. Hope it helps

    hi

this is right shortcut for  increasing / decreasing the decimal places but every time i have to press alt+H+9 to decrease the decimal.

    let say

    324.22

    now i use shortcut alt+h+9

    it shows 324.2

but i want a result in single click

like by pressing any shortcut key it would show

    value : 324

is there any shortcut for my query..

    Thanks

Any shortcut for increasing / decreasing the decimal places?

My apologies. I had interpreted your request as to changing the actual values rather than the displayed decimal places.

The commands referenced by Mike H. are also available as mouse clicks from the Home tab's Number group.

These could also be assigned to the QAT for more universal availability.
