Slides on 11 x 17 paper

I am trying to create slides on 11x17 paper.  When I go to the Design tab, Page Setup and select a layout of ledger paper the paper size defaults to 13.32 x 9.99.  Why?  And how do I just get regular 11x17 slides?

This re-sizing of the aspect ration is really screwing up my graphics.

This should not be difficult.  Do I need to set it up to Custom?

Try Design tab | Page Setup button | Slides sized for: Ledger paper 11x17 in.  But the page size and shape did not change until I set the size below that field to 11x17 also.

Resizing a presentation can cause distortion, especially if you resize to a format that's not proportional to the original slide size.

I suspect the reason for the odd 13.32x9.99 size is that it's proportional to other sizes PPT uses by default (10 x 7.5 for example), so that you can switch to the larger size w/o distorting your presentation.

If you need to print to the full ledger size page, you'll need to choose custom (or just plug in the dimensions you want .... PPT will automatically choose Custom when you do that).
