Keeping image caption with the Image on the same page

I have added an image in MS-Word 2010 and a caption below it. I am trying to use the 'Keep with next' option so that the image and caption stay on the same page. But this doesn't seem to be working. Maybe I am selecting the wrong items. Can someone help me use this option correctly so that the image and caption are not on sepeare pages?

Thanks.

Instead of using a caption try inserting the picture and caption into a one row, one column table. Select table and remove borders. You will get the same effect, and the picture and caption should stay together.

The single cell Table is something I'd suggest also. As well, in the table or not rather than using a paragraph, <enter>, to separate the picture and caption, use a soft return <SHF><ENTER>. Select the paragraph and turn on "Keep together"  (that is lines in a para) rather than "Keep with next" (which is 2 paragraphs)

Make sure that both the image and its caption are inline with the text.

Thank you for that. Is there a way of still wrapping text alongside a portrait image and its caption?
