Original Title: "Arabic / Hindi Numerals in Powerpoint / Excel / word"

How can I write Arabic and Hindi numeral in Powerpoint / Excel.

I have seen many stupid answers suggesting to change default language which is not a solution at all.

If I have one paragraph in  English and another para in arabic I want to write numbers also in arabic and hindi (Arabic Saudi Arabia) format.

Is there a way to do this in Office? word offer a solution to have numerals per context.

    I go to http://www.google.com/transliterate

Choose Hindi in the dropdown then (Arabic is also an option)

Type my numbers and then paste them back in Excel/Powerpoint

    sample..

    १२३४५६७८९० Hinid

    ١٢٣٤٥٦٧٨٩٠ Arabic

btw I do NOT need any special fonts... the above sample is using Calibri. It works with Arial etc. too.

The format, in Excel, of the cells I paste the Hindi numerals changes to

    Custom->[$-4000439]0

    For Arabic it is

    [$-2000401]0

If I have this format in any cell, in Excel, then I can directly type in Roman numbers to get Hindi numbers.

Just let me make it more clear:

    ١٢٣٤٥٦٧٨٩٠ is Hindi

    123457890 is Arabic

    First understand the above points.

I am not a stupid to type in google translate and paste back; for that I do not need an expert answer.

And assume that when some one post a question over here he might have searched at least google for a possible solution before posting it here and  do not expect  that some one will try to type something without having installed the correct font.

    Look back my post

"If I have one paragraph in  English and another para in arabic I want to write numbers also in Arabic and Hindi (Arabic Saudi Arabia) format."

I do mentioned, I am typing both English and Arabic and I clearly mentioned that Hindi numerals is Arabic Saudi Arabia

and I have made it clear I am looking for a solution in Powerpoint too. In powerpoint there is no format option which is available in Excel.

If some one know a clear solution then post back..

Do you have the fonts installed for Arabic and Hindi ?

If not, install the fonts and then check for results.

For words Yes.. but for numbers NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

    Abcdefg 1234567890

    أبتحخعغ 123456789

from Word I copied ١٢٣٤٥٦٧٨٩٠ أبتحخعغ, but in  PPT it shows as above... The numbers automatically changed to Arabic (Eglish) from Hindi (Arabic Saudi Arabia)

    ١٢٣٤٥٦٧٨٩٠ أبتحخعغ

I think Microsoft is missing something here..!!!
