Word offers two methods to print two pages per sheet. Their effects are different, and each method may need some adjustment of the text (and pictures if any) in the document.

    Method 1:

In the File > Print dialog (or the Print display in Word 2007 and 2010), at the bottom of the settings, change from 1 page per sheet to 2 pages per sheet. In the Pages box, type  1,1  to get two copies of page 1.

This will take your document, turn it 90 degrees, and shrink everything on it to half size. So if you want the final printed text to be 9 point, you have to make it 18 point on the document. Pictures will also be half as wide and half as tall as they appear in the document.

    Method 2:

In the File > Page Setup dialog (or the Page Layout > Page Setup dialog in Word 2007 and 2010), on the Margins tab, change the orientation from Portrait to Landscape (or vice versa) and set the Multiple Pages dropdown to 2 pages per sheet. In the Print dialog, in the Pages box, type  1,1  to get two copies of page 1.

This method won't shrink the text and pictures, but it will make the page half as wide, so half the number of characters will fit on each line. The document display will reflect this layout, and you may have to adjust the positions of things.
