I have an A4 document that I would like to print in A5 size with 2 to a page. How do I do this? I searched through a google engine but the step by step examples don't seem to be for Microsoft Word 2007. Please help I need to get this sorted....

In the Print dialog, under Zoom: Pages per sheet, choose "2 pages." This will reduce your A4 page to A5 size and print two pages side-by-side on a landscape A4 sheet.

You must do this every time you print; in future, you might want to use the "2 pages per sheet" option under "Multiple pages" on the Margins tab of Page Setup, which allows you to create A5 pages to begin with; they will also print two-up on a landscape A4 sheet.

Note that if you want to print a single page twice on a sheet, you must enter the page number twice in the "Pages" box (for example,"1,1" ).

For a complete explanation of all the "2 pages per sheet" options, see http://wordfaqs.mvps.org/2PagesPerSheet.htm.

OK ... now I am an IT Consultant and I have very great difficulty making this product print two A5 pages on one side of A4, paper in landscape, document in portrait. I take pot luck and waste lots of trees. (I'm afraid that the suggestions made by the MVPs on this page simply do not work in may circumstances.)

So why not eliminate all these requests for assistance at one fell swoop by providing a Print Preview option as part of the Print Dialogue, so that the effects of choices made in the Print Dialogue can be seen instantly?

How about these MVPs using their repected position with Microsoft to log that request eh? You know it makes sense.

I have, after about an hour sussed this!  You create your document in Landscape and create two identical pages.  Then go to Print, click on Landscape, then click on Multiple pages 2 and it should be OK.  I managed it in the end!

If you use the "2 pages per sheet" option in Page Setup, you do see two pages in Print Preview.

    Hi,

First change the A4 document to the A5 size. To do this:

    1. Click on the Page Layout tab on the Ribbon.
    2. Click on the Size button toward the left hand side in the Page Setup group.
    3. Click on A5 in the menu that pops up.

Now, here's how to print two to a page:

    1. Click on the round Office button in the upper left-hand corner of the screen.
    2. Move your mouse arrow down on top of where it says "Print", (but don't click).
    3. Click on "Print" on the right-hand side in the pane that appears.
    4. The print box will pop up. Click on the dropdown arrow in the lower right-hand side next to where it says "Pages per sheet". Choose 2 pages.
    5. Click OK to print the document.

    Hope that does the trick!

    Kara
