When I draw a circle, I could use the "shapes" box for solid circle, but how do I use a dotted line to form a circle? I am using Office for Mac 2008.

Thanks

Tip: To draw a perfect circle hold the shift key down as you drag out the circle.

Circles have a line property, as you noticed. Select the circle and choose Format Shape. Then format the line for the circle as shown here:

An easy method is to use a predefined shape. ( Insert > Shape)  Then with it selected choose ( Format > Shape).

On the Format Shape dialog choose Fill and remove the solid fill.  Then choose ( Line > Weights and Arrows ) and select one of the dashed or dotted line options.

    Hope this helps
