Templates are in a different language

I have Microsoft Office for Mac 2011.

When I go to select a template to use they are all in a foreign language.

When I asked for product support and put in my Product key they sent me (www.microsoft.com/mac/getkey), it said I put in the wrong product key for the country you are in.

How can I get english templates on my Word program?

You don't fix it, Rickey. You can only replace it with your own text (just click and type or paste).

They had to put something there as a placeholder and decided to use the traditional pseudo-Latin texts commonly used in DTP for that purpose.

Templates typically contain placeholder text intended to provide nothing more than an indication of what a completed document would look like... Select & replace it with your own content.

The truth is that Microsoft Online offers the very type of templates being asked for here...that is why it makes no sense to have a nonsensical template when these types are so helpful - the following is for an Business Elevator Speech of all things from MicroSoft...

I can appreciate that, but please note that there IS value to specific example text to many consumers of this product. People may find themselves going elsewhere for the product which they desire (ie. other template vendors such as Open Office who offers specific example text in their templates).

Just my $.02. Don't be so quick to dismiss this view of how the product could work - the folks who have come here are likely looking for specific example text (hence all the questions).

If you are seeing something like "Lorem Ipsum" it is because the phrase is a common one used by the publishing industry. For a long winded explanation of how this phrase came to be used this way:
