I need to understand what the mousehook does and why we need it.  I've seen where you can uninstall it but i'm just confused about what exactly it does or doesn't do.  I need non technical terms to explain to the boss.  Thank you

What mousehook are you talking about?  If you mean the dll which used to be needed to kill the scroll wheel from navigating records, it is built in to Access 2010 now.  There is a MouseWheel event which you can choose to use if you want but I believe the default now is to NOT use the mouse wheel for navigating records unless you enable that within that MouseWheel event.
