Duplicate words created when saving a Word2010 in pdf format

I have a 150 page document in .docx format and it's fine.  When I save that document as a pdf doc, then "something" adds words.

eg the docx has "will surely bring its own comfort" (line break after surely)

the output pdf file has "will surely surely bring its own comfort" (line break after the first surely)

This has happened in 3 different places in the document.  It's always at the end of a justified line, twice it reats one word and once it's repeated two words.

Is this a known problem?  What's the solution.  I'm about ready to publish the book using pdf but can't if I'm getting random duplicates.

I can provide the files if needed.

I had this very same problem.  I tried changing the margins, text, font, paragraph options, etc.; nothing worked.  Finally I went to "Save As..." and saved it as a Word Document and did NOT maintain compability with previous versions of word.  This solved the problem.

I'm having the same problem. I've typed a book in Word 2007 and am trying to send it out as a pdf for review. It doesn't matter if I use the "print" to pdf feature from within Word or create the pdf from within Acrobat using the Word doc. I had the same problem last fall, but wasn't ready for full review yet, so didn't mess with it at the time.

I have the 64 bit version of Windows 7.  I had a friend try it with his 32 bit version and it has the same errors (many of them--throughout the book).

I have the exact same problem in Word 2007.

In my opinion it has to do with generating the print output.

Print preview displays the text correctly (without the repeated words).

But upon printing the document using a Canon printer the words are duplicated.

When creating a PDF (I use the PrimoPDF program, which appears in the list of printers), then the generated PDF also has the repeated words.

Hope this helps in finding a solution.

Also hope there is a solution soon: if not, Word will be no good for publishing my thesis...

    Hope this helps.
