Out of the blew it says my license has gone stale for VS2013. I have tried logging out and it will not even let me sign in. It says thanks for your patience for a few minutes then says The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send.

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.
Please try to download and install Visual Studio 2013 Update 5 and check if it works. Besides, please also back up %localappdata%\.IdentityService folder and then remove it, after that sign in VS 2013 again. If you still can’t sign in VS 2013, I would suggest you try to reinstall VS Community 2013 with Update 5.

I uninstalled vs2013 and reinstalled it and removed the identity folder and it will still not let me sign in. Any other ideas?
Could you use a newer version of Visual Studio community?

The solution/fix above did not work for me. To correct the issue I had to add the registry entries below so that VS 2013 would load successfully. Apparently there is a TLS connectivity issue when VS 2013 attempts to verify information/credentials with Microsoft over the internet. Add the following registry entries highlighted in yellow to address the stale license issue.

I have been trying to get into my 2013 version for quite some time now, thanks for the registry info, it worked a treat.
