Can't find Section Breaks

Anonymous

My document shows a number of section breaks on one page.  I'm using the show all feature and I was able to find some section breaks, but not all.  For example, I have a list with letter "bullets" and when I'm on B, I'm in Section 6, but when I'm on A, I'm in Section 5.

Does anyone know how I can find them and remove them?

Thank you!

Using Find, you can seach for ^b. Or you can use the Select Browse Object button (at the bottom of the vertical scroll bar) to select Browse by Section, and this will take you to the beginning of the paragraph following the section break. Switching to Normal view can be helpful, as section breaks are much easier to see in that view.

Turn on the Show/Hide ¶ button on the Standard toolbar. Can you see the section breaks?

If not, switch to Draft view (or was it called Normal view in Word 2003? I don't remember.)

Go to the end of each line and add a paragraph break (press Enter). Section breaks at the end of a line often do not show up.

See Sections / Headers and Footers in Microsoft Word for more on handling sections.

Thank you, I never knew about that Select Browse Object button - very neat.  I tried both searches and it takes me from Section 2 to Section 6.  Section 2 ends at the end of the line, then I have the return and a regular page break (as it's not a new section yet), and the next page starts with Section 6.

Thank you.  I tried that, but I couldn't see all of them.  It's really odd.  I found a way to work around it.  Exasperating!!  Thanks again.
