I am trying to split an A4 landscape page into 4 postcard size invitations, however, when i print as '4 on a page' and select landscape, it only prints with the paper portrait. How do i resolve this? Thanks!

Hi, what do you mean rotate it through 90? I have put it into a single cell table filling the whole A4 landscape but when i select print 4 on a page it only prints 4 portrait.

    Sorry if I have misunderstood.

    Thanks.

Start with the page in Portrait Orientation and rotate the text in the table through 90° so that the lines of text run vertically up the page.  Then when you print the four pages to a sheet, you will get the orientation that you want.

Why not create the invitations as "labels"? Select Microsoft as the vendor and then scroll down to the A6 choices. The first of these will create four landscape postcards on an A4 sheet.

I have also used a table to get 4 to a landscape page, which seems to work for some things but not for others. Try using 'Printer properties' to see if your printer driver includes settings for printing multiple pages on one sheet, and if it allows you to arrange your cards properly.

If you put the text into a single cell table, you will be able to rotate it through 90° and then when you print the four to a page, it will be in landscape orientation.
