How do I link Endnote for Mac to Word for Mac for referencing?

I have installed Endnote for Mac, but do not know how to link the library to my Word document.

Microsoft 365 and Office | Word | For home | Windows

    The EndNote feature you are looking for is called Cite While you Write. You turn this on in EndNote using EndNote's Customizer, which you run from the EndNote X5 menu.  I usually turn on everything in that dialog. Make sure Word is NOT running when you turn on CWYW in the customizer.

    Yes. Install EndNote X5, or wait a few weeks for EndNote X6

    I managed to turn it on, it still does not show in Word however. I actually have EndNoteX4. Could you please help me further?

    EndNote is a 3rd party product designed to work with Word. Instruction on its installation & use are provided by its developer.
