Hello!

I need the URL of Microsoft's free time stamp server. I knew this before, but got lost.

It's something like https://microsoft/timestamp....

Thank you very much!

Coming in really late on this, but in case anybody else hits this page looking for timestamp server services, as far as I know, Microsoft does not provide a timestamp server for timestamping Authenticode signatures, for example.  Verisign provides one but I don't know what its terms of service are.  The current URL is http://timestamp.verisign.com/scripts/timstamp.dll.

@llpayeur:  time servers and timestamp servers are not the same thing.  Time servers (like you describe) let you synchronize your computer's clock to the rest of the world.  Timestamp servers cryptographically validate that a digital signature performing with a signing certificate took place at a specific time.  That allows one to verify sometime in the future that a document, program or other file was digitally signed at a particular time.  It also allows the signatures on those files to continue to be valid even after the expiration of the signing certificate.

So do YOU have the answer or are you just here to point out others mistakes?

Yes, I replied earlier in this thread (June 19, 2012) that Microsoft does not offer a timestamping service but that Verisign does, and pointed to the URL of Verisign's service.

Yes, Verisign has one as do several others.  The question was for a timestamp server from Microsoft.

And yes, I had answered that last June too:  Microsoft does not publish a timestamping service.
