Truncated text: Possible to fix this easily?

Not sure if "truncated" is the correct term.  Say it looks like this:

The blue car went over the hill and vanished

into the sunset.  The

mist followed my gaze as I watched it fade away.

So I want all the lines to be the same width.  Or better yet, to wrap to the window no matter what the text or font size is.

Anybody know what this is called and how to do it?

Then I'd like to be able to copy and paste pdf and mobi text to Word and remove all the space wasting double spacing, margins and other silliness most people use to dress up their words.  Or could I also do this and output to pdf and mobi?

    Question 1

This appears to be text imported or pasted from the web.

Turn on display of non-printing characters.

    Non-printing display characters explained

Look at the ends of the lines. There should be a line break or a paragraph mark.

    Question 2

See Cleaning up text pasted from the Web.

I knew the first but the second made Autoformat really make sense and finally be useful to me.  Many thanks!  Its about time I used some of the myriads of features of Word.
