How do I rotate a figure in Word 2010 and also its caption?

I need to rotate a figure in Word 2010 along with its caption. The caption also needs to be able to be indexed in a Table of Figures. I can't find a way to do that. All I can find is how to rotate a picture there there's nothing (that I can find) on how to that with a figure and the caption. I need to rotate the figure 90 degrees counterclockwise because it's too small to read if I don't.

Thanks for your help.

I was able to solve the problem by first creating the page in portrait view, then cutting the image and pasting it into a 2-column table. Next, I cut and pasted the caption into the second cell in the table and rotated the text. Thanks.

The figure and caption will need to be rotated independently. The caption can be placed in a text box, frame, or table cell in which you have changed the text direction.

Note that Word 2007 and 2010 can see the text even in a text box for purposes of creating a Table of Figures, but if you want your document to be backward-compatible with earlier versions, you should use a frame or table cell instead.
