static web app custom domain deletion and addition

Hi

Trying to delete custom domain url from static web app so that we can link the same custom domain to another static webapp.

But why is it taking hours and keep showing as deleting ? It happened while adding also.

For awareness, custom domain binding operations should take normally around 20 minutes. Overall, TXT record validation and DNS record propagation will affect this amount of time but around 20 minutes should be the expected norm.

If you're seeing operations taking significantly longer this, please do tag me in a comment down below so we can assist you.

EDIT 2022 Sept 8 The product team is aware of this issue and is working towards a solution. There isn't a tentative timeframe that can be shared at the moment. For the time being, it's been advised to keep trying the deletion.

@Ryan Hill My custom domain TXT record validation took more than 12 hours. Now I am trying to delete it and its been in deleting.. status for over 3 hours.

Thanks anyway. The resolution was to try to delete the custom domain again, but not refresh the page after. It worked the second time.

@Ryan Hill - We are trying to add a new custom domain for our Azure static web apps where it has been deleting for more than 12 hrs. Kindly let us know the steps to solve this issue.
