Microsoft Lync Login Issue

Hello All,

On May 20, 2012 at changed my Active Directory password prior to that I was able to login into the MS Lync Client without any issues. Since then I have not been able to login to MS Lync.

My organization created a new SIP ID to match my Active Directory credentials.

I am logging in with the following credentials:

Sign-in Name: ******@xxxx.xxx

Username: XXX\fuenteso

Password: Current AD Login Password

I get the following error message: "Sign-in didn't work: You didn't get signed in. It might be your sign-in address or logon credentials, so try those again. If that doesn't work, contact your support team

My support team has ensured that all of my credentials are correct. So what I did was install the MS Lync Client on another laptop and without any issues I was able to login.

I have since done the following on the workstation with the MS Lync Issue:

  1. Uninstalled and re-installed the Lync client.
  2. Verified the client is using Automatic Connection Detection.
  3. Removed all registry files for the application and re-installed it.
  4. Cleared all cache on computer.

Issue still persists.

One thing that I did notice was that on the Laptop where I had no trouble logging into, I went to the certmgr.msc menu and noticed a ******@xxxx.xxx communicator certificate. On the workstation that has the MS Lync issue there is not certificate for communicator listed. Could this be the issue? If so how can I go about resolving this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
