Make my template appear on every new page.

I've created a 2010 Word template which is saved as .dotx,

I've told it to save completed files as a Word document. The template opens fine but when I reach the end of the page and start a new one, the next page is blank.

How do I make my template appear on every new page, and not effect formatting in any way?

When I insert text or a picture the whole template moves and I have to send the image back every time.

I also can not make headers or footers appear in front of the template.

Thanks for looking

Brian.

Which kind of content are you trying to repeat on the following page? There might be a way, but it won't be "automatic," because you can't "add" pages in Word, the way you can in PowerPoint or Publisher.

As Stefan has indicated, Word is not a page layout application. There are no 'pages' in a Word document, merely text flowed between the available margins. The only material that will appear on every flowed page will be in the header footer range.

As you have not said what it is you are trying to repeat on each such page it is difficult to suggest a way forward.

I've created a template in which word see as an image. I send it to the back and I can then add text, pictures as normal. The template is the same as what a company template would be, in that it needs to be the same on each page (like their logo and address etc). It's simply one horizontal line near the top of the page and one line vertical to the left of the page with a small picture in the top left corner. I saved it as a template so word sees it as one A4 size picture.

It's just a little annoying that some times when I add a picture the whole template moves and everything goes out of line. I can correct it but I was hoping I could make the template\picture kind of be ignored by Word.

    Cheers.
