"Pages" are only a calculated logical concept in Word until it is actually printed out. In Word you CAN'T move "pages" like you can move worksheets in Excel or Slides in PowerPoint. You can only cut and paste selected text.
As Charles pointed out, one of the best ways of moving logical sections of documents is using Heading Styles. I would have provided the same link to Shauna's page. It is a good resource for this concept.
The feature in the navigation pane recreates the functionality of the "Outline" view. The Outline view allows you to click and drag headings to new locations. It has the advantage of providing larger targets to click on. And you can double click on the heading
in outline view to see the body text to confirm it is the right section. You can also easily promote and demote heading levels as you move text around.
In both the nav pane and outline view you can control the number of levels displayed.
When you are in outline view, the find feature only "sees" the displayed headings. So if you are looking for a common word that you also expect to see in the heading, you can reduce the number of find hits you have.
I use Outline view most of the time for working in my "tips collection" for "canned" replies to questions on this forum.
