Remove gridlines for specific cells

With Excel 2010, how can I remove the Gridlines for specific cells?

    Just to add to Bernard Liengme's excellent answer.

    You can add a fill/color to the back/interior of a cell and the gridlines will "disappear".  So select a cell and color it white rather than the default no fill and the grid lines will not be visible.

    The only options with gridlines is all on or all off. But you could take all gridlines off and then add borders to some cells  - look in bottom row of Font group of Home tab. best wishes

    Bernard and Tom,

    Hey thanks guys -- this is great; now I have 2 options that will work fine!!

    It would be nice if Microsoft made this feature more directly available; but...who knows, maybe they will in the next version of office.
