How to close Powerpoint Slide Show automatically.

I have a slide show that I use in conjunction with a presentation of information obtained from SQL Server queries.  How do I get the slideshow to automatically without have to "Click to exit" that is returned in normal conditions?  The final window you see says "End of slide show, click to exit."  I do not want to see this, I want the slide show to exit and return control to the calling program.

You can do this with Office Button > PowerPoint Options > Advanced

Untick "End with black screen"

This will ONLY work on your PC - it will not travel with the presentation

If you mean PowerPoint Viewer 2010, I don't think it's possible to remove the black screen at the end.

    Maybe someone knows better though.

    For PPT 2003:

    1. Select Tools | Options...
    2. Select the View tab.
    3. Untick End with black slide.
    4. Click OK
