While the power point is convenient way to create animations, sliding effects, slide shows, it will be useful if we can convert the

slide show into animated gif file. The animated gif can be posted on a website, used in various other ways.

Warm regards

    Hi Steve

Thanks for the suggestion. I had wanted to convert my slide show with narration as a video clip. Please elaborate on the way to make the movie clip and formats supported.

    Warm regards

    CRSK

    Dear CRSK,

PLEASE HELP ME....I NEED TO DO THE SAME THING..BUT I DO NOT NEED NARRATION.  SIMPLY all I need is to create an animated gif with fading transitions just like what is possible using powerpoint with transitions easily timed and set.  Ideally I can just set up the slide show using PowerPoint, which is very easy to do to edit the images and to set the transitions to make fading from slide to slide.

the answers in this thread do not address this issue.  I can save as a Wmv but no one says they know from experience for sure how to save that as an animated GIF.

I do not want to end up with a movie file, only an animated gif.   I need to do this a lot, making around 30 slide shows containing up to 30 images per slide show, both for a web site and for rich media emails.

thanks for any quick and easy solution you can tell me.  I will appreciate it very very much.  btw I need to set up a template system so that i can hire someone with minimal computer skills to make all these animated gifs.

warmest regards and thanks in advance.

You'll probably want to find a program that can convert other movie formats to animated GIFs.

Save from PPT as a movie, then use the other program to convert that to animated gif.

As already mentioned, you can use File, Save As from PPT 2010 and onwards to save your presentation as a WMV movie file.

Here:  I googled CONVERT WMV TO GIF and got this:

    https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&rlz=1C1LENP_enUS465US470&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=convert%20wmv%20to%20gif

Try some of the options there to see what best meets your needs.
