How to copy a Gantt bar custom format to multiple tasks

Hi - I have applied the custom formatting to a single Gantt task via the format/bar command on the Format menu. (I was simply changing the color of the manual milestone.) Ideally, I would use the format painter tool to select that row and then click on all the other rows that I want to have the same Gantt bar formatting. Unfortunately, project 2010 doesn't seem to allow this. Any ideas on an effective way to do this so I don't have to manually enter each and every Gantt row I want changed? One a related note, unlike Microsoft Excel, you can't double-click on the format painter tool to have it "stick" to continue to apply to other selections. Is there a workaround for that? Thanks very much for any replies.

Hi,

Format Ribbon, Format button, Bar Styles

Navigate to the end of the list

Add a line. Name=whatever you like; Appearance: the color etc. you need; Show For: select Flag1 (or any other flag field).

Now in the tabular part insert the column Flag1 and set to yes for the tasks you want to show this style.
