Outlook Personal Folders Backup (pfbackup.exe) - how to make it work with office 365?

I know pfbackup.exe wasn't even supposed to work well with Outlook 201, but it did. But pfbakcup addin will  not work well with Outlook form Office 365; it does not allow Office 365 Outlook to initialize and so the add in is automatially disabled.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting this question in Microsoft Community. Based on the description, you would like to use the 'PST' backup tool for Outlook 2013.

Currently PST backup tool for Outlook 2013 is not available and there is no official information about availability of this add-in. You may manually backup the Outlook data.

Refer the following link for more information:

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/export-items-to-an-outlook-data-file-pst-HA102809683.aspx?CTT=1

I hope this information helps you. In case you need any assistance with other Office applications, reply to us and we will be glad to assist you.

    Thank you.

    Hi!

    Thanks for your prompt reply.

You are right, I would like to use the 'PST' backup tool for Outlook 2013. I am aware of the solution you proposed, I just didn't know the menu had changed.

It is just a pity Microsoft seems to have abandoned pfbackup. It was very useful for it allowed us to have automatic backups on a daily or weekly basis.

Extremely absurd to leave out a valuable tool used by many.  Plan to try Firefox email utility, I'll bet they have a back up add on.
