open (for editing) mht file in excel

Evening all.

I'm using Excel 2010, & Win7 Home Premium, 64bit.

I have downloaded some mht files from my bank-- statements-- and back when I was using 2007, I could open, and in fact edit/create mht files.

Now, I don't appear to be able to do this.

Is there some kind of add-on, code (VBA), etc.... that I can obtain that will allow me to do this?

I did try importing them, using the data-connection, from web, AND from text. It did not work.

I'm not even able to open them using a web browser. I get an error message that says it could not read the address.

TYIA.

You should be able to work with mht files in excel 2010, but a lot of the features may not be available.

As for the issues with not being able to open them in the browser, you should check with Windows forums.
