Need a copy of Access 1997?

I have a massive database that was built using Access 1997.  I am trying to get it converted to 2010.  My IT guy says I need to find a copy of 1997 to do this.  Is that correct and, if so, how do I find a version?  Thanks!

It will be next to imposible to get a copy of either Access 97 or Access 2000 for legal reason...  Can't be sold anymore only exisiting owners have a usage right.

Never the less, you should be able to open the Access 97 db in Access 2003.  I haven't tried 97 to 2007, but even that may work.

Have you tried opening a copy in whatever version you currently have?

Thank you!  I haven't tried it as my IT guy has my files.  I'm going to see what we can do now that we have everyone's really great feedback.  Appreciate it very much.

Note, it is for Access 2007 but applies to Access 2010 as well.

You don't need Access 97. You should be able to convert it by opening it in 2010 and using the Database Enhancement dialog.
