Original Title: "I had Office 2000 on my pc.  Motherboard crashed.  I bought a laptop and want to install my 2000 Office on it, I have product key and id."

I want to download Office 2000 without disc.  I have my "product key" and my "product id" numbers. The disc was destroyed by accident.

Office 2000 has not been available for some years so there is no chance of obtaining a legitimate download of the media, and you won't be able to install without the media files. You would need to canvas friends and work colleagues etc to see if anyone still has a 2000 disc you could borrow.

However as this is  presumably a new laptop it will be equipped with Windows 7 or 8. You may just get away with installing Office 2000 on Windows 7, but Microsoft says that Office 2000 is not compatible with Windows 8, so any installation would be at your own risk and may cause other issues.
