How do you add apps to Microsoft Office 2010 programs?

Microsoft Apps for Office instructions state:

Go to Word (or Excel)

  1. Go to the "Insert" tab
  2. Click the "Apps for Office" button
  3. Go to "My Apps"
  4. Select your app
  5. Click "Insert"

I have Office Home and Student 2010 installed on my desktop. I would like to add a couple of Microsoft's free apps to my Word and Excel programs.

The above instructions came from http:// office.microsoft.com/en-us/store/add-apps-for-

These instructions are simple and great, but I cannot locate this invisible button. I see by their outline that it should be located where the ribbon's Mailings tab is located, and I even tried the Mailings tab as well after the Insert tab to no avail.

Does anyone have any advice for me on this matter?

Thanks in advance,

JRS

    Hi

RE: "I can't find the Apps for Office button"

I also have this problem and would like to install an app so if you can tell me what to do that would be great.

    These instructions:

Go to Word (or Excel) - (done)

    1. Go to the "Insert" tab - (have opened the Insert menu)
    2. Click the "Apps for Office" button - This button is not there therefore I cannot proceed to steps 3-5
    3. Go to "My Apps"
    4. Select your app
    5. Click "Insert"

If this button does not appear on the Toolbar under Insert, how do I locate it, or is there another way to install an app.

I am using Microsoft Word 2010

    Thank-you

    Hi HJtga

The Apps for office are only available in the Microsoft Office 2013 products.

    See the following links.
