Presumably, you already know how to create the data for the histogram and the histogram itself. [1]

    To create the frequency polygon:

    1. Right-click on the chart, then click on Select Data.
    2. Click on Add.
    3. For the Series Values, select the same range that you selected for histogram.
    4. Click OK, then click OK again.  That creates a second histogram side-by-side.
    5. Right-click a bar of the second histogram, then click on Change Series Chart Type.
    6. Click on XY (Scatter), then click on the subtype you want, probably "with Lines and Markers".
    7. Click OK.  Excel automagically connects the midpoints of the first histogram bars.
    8. To change the size of the markers, if any, right-click the frequency polygon (curve), then click on Marker Options.
    9. Select Built-In, and make the desired adjustments.  Then click Close.

[1] If you do not know how to create the histogram data and chart, you should provide a concrete example to help us help you.  The best way is to upload an example Excel file (devoid of any private data) that demonstrates the problem to a file-sharing website.

Then post the "shared", "public" or "view-only" link (aka URL; http://...) in a response here.  The following is a list of some free file-sharing websites; or use your own.
