How do I set up human resources in access rather than in excel? Is there templates available?

I agree with John. Though I do have a sample HRIS app on my website (Disclaimer: it has not been updated for a while so it shows its age).

But when I built a an HRIS system for my current company, I started from scratch since its needs are different.

I definitely would not do it in Excel, since even the simplest requirements would want a relational database.

If you want to explain what you need this to do we can suggest some things.

Not an easy question, Hazieb! Human resources applications are usually complex, and usually tailored for a specific business. An HR program for a six-person business at one location will be very different from one for a large corporation with many departments, locations, and so on. Companies in different states or countries will require different treatment of payroll, taxes, employment laws, and so on.

You're not very likely to find a template that's going to be tailored for your particular business. But one place to start might be at www.databaseanswers.org/data_model/index.htm , a free resource for data models and templates covering many subjects.
