Resource name font remains red after over allocation has been fixed.

I had an overallocation problem that I've fixed. Yet, my resources are still in red font on the resource usage view. I've checked and there are no over allocations anymore. Why is the font still red?

    Hi,

Sorry to say but there ARE overallocations - all depends on what granularity you work.

Suppose you have two tasks both being scheduled at 8AM, and lasting 4 hrs.

On a day level you have no overallocation - total work is only 8 hrs

But on an hour level you do - between 8 and 12 the resource is overallocated.

If you want the Red Font to reflect overallocations on a day level, go to Resource ribbon, click the Leveling Options button, and set Look for overallocations on a ... to Day by Day.

    Greetings,

Hmm, I see your point. I didn't think of that.

I check my leveling options and I have it set to look for over allocations set to Day by Day. The font is still red. I have overallocation data shown on the resource usage sheet and the cell for that task on the day with the red font is empty.

Also, how do I change it so that the resource will work one task earlier in the day than the other?

    Thank you for your help.

    Sean
