Now I need to knowhow to get rid of page manager as I accidentally clicked on something and it is now on my publication and I don't know how to get rid of it since I don't know what I clicked that made it come on. Thanks..Polly
At the bottom on the page of that link I provided it talks about what you can do if your printer does not support duplex printing. You could try the '**Two-Sided Printing Setup Wizard'.**I have not used this before. Instead I have always done it manually as follows.
Or you could do your printing manually. It appears that you are using Publisher 2007. Open your file and go to File > Print. On that print dialog you should have options under 'print range' or it might be called something else. You have the option of printing
'all pages' which is probably checked as your default, a second option of printing 'current page' and an option that will be called 'pages' where there is a field following that option where you can specify what pages to print. In this field enter:
1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15,17,19 etc. In other words if your Publisher publication is 40 pages long and you want to print 20 sheets of paper front and back, then you first print all the odd numbered pages. Once you print all the odd number pages you put those sheets
of paper back into your printer, upside down, and this time when you print you choose to print the pages:
2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20 etc. and this will print the even number of pages on the back side of the odd number of pages...just as if you duplexed them.
I would suggest you try this with only 4 pages first to make sure it is going to work and that you know which way to put the sheets of paper back in the printer. So first print just pages 1,3 and then turn those sheets of paper over and print pages 2,4.
If that gives you the results you want then you can go ahead and print 5,7, 9 etc. and 6,8,10 etc.
And finally I have one more suggestion. If you plan on taking this publication to a professional printer to reproduce multiple copies and to bind the 'book' then just print out each page and take them the individual pages. The printer can do all the duplexing
and front and back for you.
You could also convert your publication to a pdf file and email that to them if your professional printer has that option. Post back if you want instructions on how to convert to a pdf file.
