delete filtered rows

This may seem a rather basic question. However, I am not sure I am carrying out the procedure in the best way possible.

What is the best way to delete rows which have been filtered? At the moment, I just filter the data I want to remove, select those rows and then delete. However, this is a bit cumbersome if you have a lot of rows to delete what with all that scrolling down to the bottom etc.

I would have thought there would have been an easier/more efficient way to do this?

Also, I am never really sure that the underlying data is not going to be accidentally deleted too.

Any advice is much appreciated.

Once List is filtered. Select 1st Filter line. Then Just press Shift and Down Arrow key. It will select till the last filtered row. Now you can delete the rows with right mouse click and delete rows.

Always click 'Reapply' button in Sort & Filter Tab before deleting any row so that you are sure that you are not deleting hidden data accidentally.

    Hi,

The key to ensuring that on a filtered data set, only filtered rows get deleted, is filtering correctly in the first place.  Before filtering, ensure that you manually select the entire dataset with the first row as the hidden row and then click on the Filter icon.  Now when you delete/copy the filtered data, only the visible cells will get deleted/copied.
