Mac Powerpoint 2011 question. Where is the "eyedropper" color selector?

I am a longtime Mac user and heavy Powerpoint user.  I just upgraded my Mac and went from Office 2004 to 2011.  Am I blind, did they hide it, or did M/S leave out the "eyedropper" color selector under the "fill" option?  a help search for "eyedropper" yields nothing.

I used this feature a lot to make a block of eyedropper-matched color hide or mask something.  My spouse, who is an IBM user, still has this in the latest version of her Powerpoint.  HELP anyone!  Thanks.

More like "NOW has this in the latest version ..."

The feature was only added to Windows PPT in the newest version.

It's been a long time since I last used PPT 2004, but I don't recall that it had an eyedropper feature.  Then again, it's been a long time and I could be totally wrong about that.

    But try this:

    From Finder, Go | Applications

Click the Utilities folder and launch DigitalColor Meter.app

Now you have an eyedropper that works with anything on screen, in any app, not just PPT.

If you like, drag it to the task bar so it's always handy.

Joe's answer refers to an issue with getting just what you want with the eyedropper tool but not how to find the eyedropper tool itself. Stoneygeorge's answer here:

was basically what worked for me to get the tool into my Format menu.

Also, when you use any of the custom swatches in a document a new row of Recent Colors is added to the dropdown menus of the Fill & Line buttons. The Recent Colors is persistent for that document only, although the custom swatches are retained in the More Colors grid.

Once upon a time I wrote an extensive Reply detailing all of this but I haven't been able to locate it :-\

    Neat ...

And I see that if you use the magnifying glass to pick colors in the More Colors menu, once you've picked a color you can drag it from the color swatch to the palette below.
