office 2010 professional plus activation

Hi,

I Had office 2010 Professional Plus installed on my computer.

Had to reinstall due to hard drive failure. I have currently installed a trial version but I am not getting an option to activate it to a full product.

This is what the procedure should be as per Microsoft.

Method 2: The post-activation method

This method lets you convert to the full retail perpetual license version by using the Activation Wizard expiration reminders. Use this method after you activate the trial version of the Office 2010 suite or program.

After you activate the trial version of a suite or program, you can convert to the full retail perpetual license version when the Activation Wizard expiration reminders appear. In the Activation Wizard expiration reminder, click Convert to start the conversion to the full retail perpetual license version.

You can also open the Activation Wizard expiration reminder when you are ready to convert by doing the following:

  1. Start the trial version of the Office 2010 program.
  2. Click the File tab.
  3. Click Help, and then click Activate Office.
  4. Go to Step 4: Active the product key.

I am not seeing an activate the product key link. There is a message that says the trial period will expire in 59 days & below it is a link which says

"How to remove this product".

Vijay.

    Stupid, stupid mistake. :-)

All this time I was trying to activate it using the trial key that was sent by the MS support guys when they sent the link for the exe file. Activated using my original key & it is now showing as a full version.

Anyone want the downloadable exe files for office 2010, here is a link.

    Thanks for all the replies.

    Vijay.

What is the name of the downloaded exe file?

    It should either be;

    X17-75238 or

    X16-32250

Firstly there have been NO trial versions of Office 2010 available for download since the release of Office 2013 and Office 365 - so where did you get your "trial" version from?

Secondly Office Pro Plus is a volume licensed edition that preceded University edition and for which there were no trial versions anyway.

You won't be able to activate this "trial" version with a Pro Plus key. You need to remove the "trial" version and install your paid-for Pro Plus version from your original install media.

It is a corporate license key that I have.

I was having problems with my system a while back, but it got sorted without reinstallation.

Since I didn't have the installation CD I had contacted MS support & they sent me a download link for the trial version. That was a while back. I had kept the downloaded exe file.

Is there any way to reinstall without the media? worst case scenario, if I do purchase a new license key, how do I activate this trial version.
