Is it possible to just share a section of a OneNote notebook in Office 2013? I found an option to share the whole notebook, but nothing to share just a section.

No, there is no option to share only the section.
You may however export only the section and then send it to other people or split the section and make it a notebook and share the notebook.
You should most definitely send this up for a functionality add-in. Strongly dampers an amazing application.
I definitely agree. This functionality add-in would bring a wealth of efficiency to an organization.
