Can you assume that the user has PowerPoint or a viewer installed already?

If so, this should be possible, though you can never be entirely certain, since the user may have disabled any CD/DVD autorun features.

    Hi

Once you have created your show to your satisfaction click File, from the list click on Save and Send. This will take you to another set of options. Click the Package Presentation for CD and click on the icon on the right and add your requirements to the box, don't forget to click the copy to CD button at the bottom of the box. When done your disc will play show your in most computers. (Don't forget to put disc in when creating disc, it's easily done).

I know you're ticked off.  Who wouldn't be, Ernie?

But keep in mind that most of us A**HOLES here are are either users like you or volunteers, not MS paid tech support staffers.

And the MS employees here are tech support folks; they don't create these problems and don't have any power to change the decisions that led to the problems.

They have to do their best to support customers who've been burned.

Yell about the problem, you bet.  But understand that when you call people names, you're not talking to the folks who might deserve to hear it;  you might, however, insult someone who'd otherwise be willing to try to help.

Please note that Package for CD in PPT 2010 and 2013 do not include a PPT Viewer that runs from the CD. The user will have to have PPT installed or they'll have to download and install the free PPT Viewer in order to view the slide show.

The CD splash screen does at least include a link to download the Viewer, so the user has that available if necessary.
