Setup cannot find ProPlus.WW\ProPlusWW.msi.

When trying to install Office 2013 ProPlus (open license), I get the following error:

"Setup cannot find ProPlus.WW\ProPlusWW.msi.  Browse to a valid installation source, and then click OK."

If I browse to the setup subfolder ProPlus.WW and click OK, it says "Invalid location".

I am running Windows 8.1 fully patched.

I've tried both the 32 & 64 bit versions and get the same error.  I've also tried installing on a separate laptop running Windows 7 Pro and get the same error.  Both machines had office 2007 previously installed and successfully removed.

I've tried running as Administrator with same results on both machines.

I've also redownloaded the install image and still get the same error.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Casey

After downloading the iso file multiple times in Google Chrome, I decided to download it from IE.

That version of the download worked fine. Not sure what the difference was, but at least it worked.

    Thanks for your help.

This is NOT a problem with case-sensitive check. That would indeed be stupid as Windows doesn't recognize it in paths.

The problem is invalid ProplusWW.msi file. It has different MD5 checksum then in info file.

In my case I'm using MS Office Pro Plus 2016 x64 pl but checking your CD should work the same:

    1. Calculate MD5 checksum for the proplusww.msi file.
    2. Open proplus.ww\setup.xml file.
    3. Search for LocalCache tag.
    4. Search for ProPlusWW.msi text.
    5. Check if MD5 you calculated is the same.

In my case in setup.xml I have:

    File Id="ProPlusWW.msi" MD5="4A51BB738330E105900D279DF5DE26AF"

    But checksum calculated is:

    15FD5A7FB87523F742B3F903B69B4276

I tried the "clean boot" option and get the same error.  I've have not tried installation on 3 separate computers & all get the same error.  2 of the computers had office 2007 installed (which I uninstalled) and the 3rd never had office on it.

    Any other ideas?
