Create or edit footers in OneNote 2010

Is it possible to edit the footer in OneNote 2010, or to create new ones?  I've found posts indicating that the default footer choices can't be changed in OneNote 2007, but nothing more recent.

We are looking to add the user's name to the footer, so that those reading the printed pages know who they came from.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to create or edit the existing footer in OneNote. The only way to add the footer is to go to print preview and select the appropriate footer i.e.:

    ·         Click on File< Print.

    ·         Click on the Print Preview option.

    ·         In Print Preview window on the right hand side of the page under Footer group select the appropriate footer.

You may post also your suggestions in the Feedback forums mentioned below so that the feature would be added in the upcoming version of Office.

I do not want footer to be printed in any format, we have change none in print preview every time one note is opened, once you forget to turn off, whole pages are printed with footer, hence there should be an option to turn off completely footer

Thanks, Anula, that's what I was afraid of.  I did leave the feedback as you suggested, so hopefully the next version will allow the footer to be edited.
