Copy Drop-Down List

I'm creating a form in Word, that will be saved as a template. I have a table on the form and would like to add a drop-down box of the same content in several spots on the table. I tried to cut and paste, but found that does not work. How do I duplicate a drop-down box with the same content to be used on the form in several locations?

Use Copy, then Paste>Special>Link

    Would you believe I played with the Copy and Paste function and found that it does work. Select the drop-down box, make sure it grays out and select copy, move it to the location on the table you want and do a paste.

    Hey - another thanks from me!

    I had multiple documents to update with a list of staff names in a drop-down content control and the copy/paste worked so I only had to update one document, then select the drop-down list content control so it was greyed, select Copy from the ribbon, delete the control on the other documents and paste to replace them.

    Saved me heaps of time.
