Changing the order of Quick links from Site Settings

Noticed a permissions error with changing the order of Quick Links in Modern Sites through the "Site Settings" link, where Site Owners are NOT Site Collection Admins.
No issues when clicking edit in the Quick links and drag / dropping the order.

To replicate the issue:

  1. make sure you're a site owner, but not a site collection admin.
  2. Goto Site Contents -> Site Settings -> Quick launch
  3. Click "Change Order" button

How can this be fixed without granting Site Collection admin, or using the edit drag/drop?

    Hi @rainmakers ,
    After my test, there is no other option to change order in the quick lunch of site settings without being site collection admin. This is by design.

    If you don't want to be site collection admin, my suggestion is that you just drag /drop to change order.
