    Hello Jord,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Office Community.

Office Home and Student 2013 is not available as trial, you can only try Office 365 Home.

You can subscribe to Office 365 Home trial, use the trial suite and then cancel it before it expires.

Refer to the section 'Can I try Office before I buy?' to get more information:

    Thank you.

    Hello Jord,

    Thank you for replying.

    Please provide more information:

Does 3rd party website direct you to Microsoft to register your email account to try Office Home and Student 2013?

Disclaimer: Microsoft cannot guarantee that trial product installed through a Third Party Software would work.

I recommend you to try Office 365 Home trial first and then purchase Office Home and Student 2013.

Hope it helps. Reply if you need more assistance and I'll be happy to help you further.

    Thank you.

I too was interested in the Microsoft Office 2013 because I do not always have access to internet and for the 365, it is necessary to have internet.  I absolutely am against this because as a counselor today and after working in education for 22 years, I experience and first hand see the need that many of our students have and many of them to not have access to internet, much less wireless internet.

Nonetheless, I requested the home office student Microsoft Office 365 trial version for one month and even had a live chat with a representative to make sure I was not going to be charged until the trial month was over because my credit card information was requested. And although the person on the chat line guaranteed that I would not be charged until the month was over and only if I would authorize the payment, I still  kept getting e-mails asking if I had made the purchase and letting me know that the first payment was going to be taken on Aug. 27, 2014, the day I requested the free trial month.

A week later September 3, 2013, I am still trying to get the trial version, because like many of our students I am going through a quite a difficult time financially and cannot afford to purchase internet at the time until I can literally get a job.
