I need to create numerous charts with an identical data format, titles, data labels &  axis labels.  For this purpose I use a template, however, the template does not retain the title, data labels and axis labels.  I am now using Excel 2010.

Use Paste Special to Speed up Chart Formatting:

if by template you mean a crtx file then the titles will not be retained as it is considered customer data.

Did you create this template or was the template downloaded from a website/program?

In which format is the template saved? .xlt or .xltx ?

Try creating a new Excel chart template and check if the issue re-occurs.
