How to add one pdf page to another pdf file?

I have two scanned documents, one I need to insert into the other to make them one document. Re-printing is not an option.... help! There must be a way to insert a page and not a blank one? I have tried opening both documents as word documents, but it still does not give me access to insert already created pages.

If you've successfully opened both PDFs in Word, you should be able to copy the content of one and paste it at the end of the other, then save the result as another PDF file. If you need to keep the pages separated, press Ctrl+Enter at the end of the first page before pasting the second page.

Another solution -- more work to start with, but maybe more useful in the future -- is to download the free copy of Adobe Acrobat Pro 8 (an old version, but still good) from http://www.techspot.com/downloads/4683-adobe-acrobat-8-free.html and install it. One of its features is the ability to combine PDF files directly, without going through Word.
