How do I create a new folder when saving a new document and, how do you move a document to a different folder?

I have not been able to find a way of creating a new folder when saving a new document, and am hoping this is just something I have not discovered, and not a missing feature.

Maybe it's just me, but I like to organise my documents into appropriate folders as it makes subsequent location of documents so much easier.

I know I can save the document in Workspace in OneDrive, but to create a new folder I have to leave Word and open the OneDrive app, create a new folder, and then... Oops! Next question: how do I move my document to the newly created folder in OneDrive?

All I can think of is to :

Open Word
Select to create a new document
Either save the new document straight away, or write first and then save
Minimise or close Word, and open the OneDrive app, and create the new folder
Minimise or close OneDrive and return to the Word app
Open the new document again
Duplicate the document in Word
Save into the new folder
Minimise or close Word, and open the OneDrive app, and delete the original document
Minimise OneDrive and open Word, and continue editing the document - or can open the document in OneDrive, which opens Word

This seems rather clumsy...

Any suggestions?

The troubleshooting steps which I mentioned in my previous reply is related to desktop/laptop computer.

And the feature which you've specified is not available on Word app on iPad.

I am of course pleased you are trying to help, but very disappointed that you don't seem to know much about the program.

Firstly, you have to be logged in, otherwise Word is read only on the iPad, or so I've been led to believe. In any case, I did indicate that I had saved the document to Workspace which means I must have been logged in...

Secondly, you tell to see if there is an option to do what I want when logged in - surely you should know this before offering to help, otherwise very little will be achieved if you are just guessing.

Did you even try the steps I set out?

I'd like to ask a question before we proceed.

Have you logged into Microsoft Account from within Word 2013? If no, I suggest you to log into it by going to File > Save as > OneDrive > Sign in > enter OneDrive account's credential > OK and check the options available and see if you have an option to create a new folder or save the document to a specific folder.
