How to keep logo off 1st slide in Power Point using Slide Master

Hello,

I just asked a question and have 1 more question to follow, but I am using Power Point 2010.

I had to create a presentation where I added the company logo to the upper left corner of every slide using Slide Master but did not want the logo on the 1st opening slide only. In Word, you can select to not include page numbers on the title page. Does Power Point have something like that where I can choose to not include a logo or page number or whatever on the 1st page only using Slide Master (I don't want to have to add the log manually to the slides I want)?

By the way, under Slide Master, I tried adding the logo to the Title Slide Layout Master and that didn't work, and then tried the Title and Content Layout Slide Master and that didn't work.

I would appreciate any help. These 3 questions are to help me on a new job I start next week.

    Hi,

First determine the custom layout that is being used by the first slide. Once you have determined that switch to the slide master view and select that layout. Now, right-click on the layout and choose Format Background and tick the option to 'Hide background graphics'. Click OK. This will hide all the on the slide master and not show up on the layout.

I just tried it and I clicked OK rather than 'Apply to All' in the screen where 'Hide background graphics' is. It finally worked when I clicked 'Apply to All'. Thank you for all of your help!

FYI, If you insert a slide in the middle of the presentation using the Title Slide Layout, the logo will show up. If you don't want it on that slide either, you can go to the Design tab and select 'Hide background graphics' and it will hide the graphic. If you already have title slides with the logo and decide to hide the logo from the Slide Master as described above and hit Apply to All it will hide the logo on all of the existing Title layout slides.

Thank you. I will try this and let you know how it worked. Thanks, again.
