Have you updated the firmware and the BIOS?
HP Bios Firmware S70 continously requires restart on Elitebook G7

So I have a customer managed by Intune with Updaterings allowing Driver Updates and only in one model this happens, where bios update does require restart every morning when user powers up a PC. We see this on Elitebook 830 and 840 G7 devices at least. First I would like to confirm, how major issue this is and does anyone else experience the same problem? I think the workaround would be to create Win32 package with BIOS setup, but I would like to avoid this. Not sure, is it more of HP or Microsoft (update catalog error).

Amir 0 Reputation points2023-08-12T23:09:29.2866667+00:00 I got a yellow triangle on hp s70 system firmware in device manager so i went to (it is in French) "Assistance clientèle HP - Téléchargements de logiciels et pilotes" https://support.hp.com/be-fr/drivers then I clicked on show all the drivers and I selected "BIOS-Micrologiciel du système (1)" and then I downloaded: HP BIOS and System Firmware (S70, S73). It needed restart, I clicked on restart and it went into the Bios 2 times updating many drivers then when it finished it opened normally my pc and I went to the device manager and the yellow triangle disappeared.

On every login, I receive this notification:
Restart required to finish setting up HP R70 System Firmware.Device manager shows it with yellow triangle and states that restart required.
Where can I identify the BIOS/UEFI version?

In my case it's because I have BitLocker activated. I'm able to solve it by downloading the file from HP and run the update process again. Doing it manually, it is suspending my BitLocker, and the firmware is installed correctly.

HP includes firmware updates in BIOS/UEFI package(.bin) .
We have sound and even operating system halting problems in our 845 G7.
Version 01.08.20 no sound
Version 01.10.00 boot problems-

Firmware shows yellow triangle with exclamation mark under device manager with status "This device cannot work properly until you restart your computer. (Code 14) Firmware update failed due to insufficient system resources." and update status "Firmware is pending update on next system reboot. Pending Firmware Version: 10A0000 Firmware failed to update during the last attempt." Is there any fix for this such as rolling back driver?
